Hello everyone, sorry I haven’t posted in a long time. If you’ve been following me on Facebook and Instagram you will probably know I suffer from ME and Fibromyalgia. It’s been gradually getting worse and I’m now half way through a 6 week pain management programme at the hospital, which seems to be helping. I’ve also found that crochet has helped me to deal with the pain.
Whilst I’ve not posted for a while I have been busy making blankets, my most recent being a lovely bright rainbow granny square blanket. I love rainbows and I love granny squares so this has to be up there with my favourite blankets.
I’ve made it all using Stylecraft Special Dk yarn and a 4mm hook. The colours are: candy floss, fondant, pomegranate, lipstick, soft peach, apricot, shrimp, citron, lemon, clematis, wisteria, lavender, violet, sherbert, aster, turquoise, Spring green, pistachio, magenta, boysenberry, fuscia purple, bluebell, cloud blue, denim, aspen.
The squares are just basic 4 round granny squares and instead of crocheting them together which I would normally do I’ve sewn them together. I’ve put two squares together with their right sides facing each other and then whip stitched through the back loop only on each square.
This blanket is for sale in my Etsy shop. You’ll find the link in the sidebar.
I hope to be able to post more often once I’ve finished at the hospital but for now I’ll wish you all well and I hope you all enjoy what’s left of the weekend.
